THE ASSOCIATION
AVARAP is a registered charity. Set up in 1984, it provides support for managers who are already in work or looking for a job. The association helps them to define a career plan that matches their skills, tastes and the realities of the job market. And to put it into practice. It is run by volunteers who take part in the association's activities and share a set of humanist values: individual commitment, solidarity for all, autonomy, benevolence.
THE PUBLIC
More than 20,000 executives have already taken part in an AVARAP group. Most of them are company executives, either working or looking for a job, of all ages, in all sectors and at all levels. Their average age is 45. A third of them are working.
THE METHOD
The participant is integrated into a group of 12 to 15 people, with a carefully balanced composition. In the composition of the groups, the diversity of backgrounds is an essential component of their effectiveness. For six to seven months, each participant works on :
- carry out an in-depth assessment of their skills
- build a career plan
- implement an action plan
- undertake an active job search.
Individual work and workshop exercises are added to the weekly group meeting.
The group is led by a mentor.
The AVARAP method is based on a behavioural and systemic approach.
